This work examines arrowheads from around the world. It is essential to sometimes also cover the foreshafts and shafts to which the points were attached. After all, often only the entire arrow reveals the precise origin of an individual point. On the other hand, a single arrowhead can often provide a more precise clue to its provenance based on the arrows shown and their characteristics.

The rough structure divides the arrowheads into their materials, as these are usually the most obvious and therefore easiest to identify. An introduction to each material explains its use for arrowheads in general and specifically. Following this, the points from the various continents and their respective zones and ethnic groups are examined.
Volume 1 covers points made of stone, glass, and wood. Volume 2 covers points made of bone, horn, and ivory, points made of beaks and other natural materials, and points made of metals (copper, bronze, iron, tin, brass).
This book has 464 pages with more than 2500 colour photos, 100 plates, 12 maps and 550 graphics.
